Come and play
We're a friendly community that aims to create a safe, inclusive space for everyone. A game on the table gives everyone something to share. Chat as much or as little as you like: quiet is always fine. Everyone is welcome, whether you're new to games or have played for years.

Around 200 board games between us, with Grand Meeples and Game Masters happy to teach games and get new players started.
Western Isles Open Table
A drop-in tabletop roleplaying campaign, on alternating Thursdays and Fridays.
The Tavern
A cosy private space within the Fàilte Centre, ideal for roleplaying sessions or board game nights with friends. Book it for £10 per session.
Join the community
We post all announcements and updates through Discord, WhatsApp and Facebook.
Our Discord server is the heart of the community, and is great for daily chat, game talk and general nerdy nonsense.
We also have a WhatsApp community with a general chat group. It's quieter than Discord but a nice way to stay connected.
Good to know
Our Grand Meeples and Game Masters are always happy to help teach games, explain rules, and get new players started.
Gateway Nerds is an adult group. Anyone under 18 is welcome, but must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian, who must stay for the whole session.
If you ever experience an issue, during a session or online, please speak to a Grand Meeple in person, or email us at gatewaynerds1@gmail.com. We'll always do our best to help.
